Welcome to K.I.S.S Horse Center!

K.I.S.S. Horse Center is owned and operated by Anita Markiewicz.  The mission of K.I.S.S. Horse Center is to help horse and rider learn and grow in partnership.  K.I.S.S. Horse Center believes that good horsemanship transcends both English and Western styles of riding.  We work on developing our horsemanship for better understanding of classical principals.  The center offers boarding, training, clinics, and sales preparation.

The ranch is alive with activity.  On any day you might find groups of riders organizing an informal play day; others might be loading up for a trail ride to nearby Lake Camanche and even others might be putting their final touches in preparation for a show.  Anita is almost always out working with a young horse or giving a riding lesson.

The facility is shared with Hope For Horses, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit equine/equid organization dedicated to changing the face of rescue. Displaced and unwanted horses are taken in and evaluated and schooled/trained to become riding or companion horses for those looking for a good horse.  Hope For Horses, Inc. now offers  Adaptive Horsemanship.  Be sure to check out the Hope For Horses, Inc. ‘s web site at http://www.hope4horses.com. where  you can donate to Hope for Horses, Inc.

Our facility offers lighted dressage court with all weather footing, a 200ft x 120ft sand footing arena and a 65ft lighted roundpen with sand footing. Our barn has 24ft x24ft half covered pens with rubber mats. 48ft x 60ft paddocks with 16ft x 16ft shelters with rubber mats. Pastures, too. We turn out, blanket and feed your supplements.

The ranch is home to frequent clinics, both from Anita and from guest professionals like Richard Winters, Heidi McLaughlin, and various dressage instructors.

Owner and head trainer/instructor Anita Markiewicz has a long history in both English and Western disciplines. A certified Centered Riding Instructor adds to her knowledge base, helping all students gain balance and confidence in the saddle. Anita is also a member of the International Society for Equestrian Studies, a group of people dedicated to developing an evidence based Learning Theory for the protection of Horses.   For more information about Anita be sure to read her Biography.
